GEORGE Hodgson snapped up a late, unconverted try for Wellington who beat Chard 30-27 away in Regional Two South West yesterday (Sat).
It put Wellington into fourth place with ten points from their opening three matches - the same as Crediton, Wadebridge and Cullompton.
Topsham top the table with maximum points from three games, with Sidmouth in second spot.
Wellington's other try scorers at Chard were George's brother Will with two and Callum Warren, while Rob Hooper kicked two penalties and two conversions.
Wellington 2nds were due to play at home to Bridgwater & Albion in Counties Three Somerset South but the game was called off because no referee was available.
