WHAT a season it's been for the young Wellington Under Nine FC boys! From start to finish, the players have shown incredible skill, determination and sportsmanship, making us all incredibly proud to be a part of this club.

First, a massive thank you to our wonderful sponsors Roadchef and R&M Motor for their support throughout the year. And to our amazing parents.

Over the course of the season, the team participated in 59 training sessions and 33 matches, scoring an incredible 319 goals! 18 different players found the back of the net, showcasing the depth of talent in this squad. Qualifying for the cup competition finals was a particular highlight, with the team scoring 32 goals and conceding just 2 in the two rounds. Though they ultimately came up short in the semi-final on penalties.

Award winners included: 100 goal club members Jack Jorge and Rex Beatty, as well as those honoured for Positivity (Fraser May), Resilience (Logan Thorpe), Respect (Harrison Thompson), Determination (Rex Beatty), Top Scorer (Jack Jorge with 83 goals!), Most Improved (Ozzy Moore), Magic Moment (Omeiza Zutu Onozutu and Sarah Thompson), Managers Player (George Learmonth and Jack Jorge), Supporters Player (Jude Norman), and Players Player (Tom Kennan and Rex Beatty).
