THE talented Wellington Under 9s travelled to Galmington for the second round of the cup on Saturday morning in fresh conditions, writes John Norman.
Wellington did what they do best throughout the morning’s play, passing the ball round at ease and stretching their opponents all around the pitch.
Once again, every player played their part in a fantastic team performance.
Wellington played four game and won them all, whilst beating the following teams: Middlezoy 6-0, VPR 4-0, Galmington 1-0 and Bridgwater Wolves 4-1 and they are now looking forward to showing their skills on finals day.
There are plenty of goals in this team and, with a well-drilled defence, they rarely concede.
The goal scorers on the day were Rex Beatty (5), Jack Jorge (4), Harrison Thompson (2), Jude Norman, Louis Molloy, Fraser May and they benefited from an own goal.
This was a fantastic team performance across the four games and it is pleasing, and rewarding, that opponents, parents and managers are complimenting the boys and how they play.
Well done boys, bring on finals day again.
