WELLINGTON are hoping for a return to action after the weekend’s heavy rain by playing at home to Mendip Broadwalk in the Somerset Premier Cup tomorrow (Wed, 7.45p.m.).

However, Wellington may carry out a pitch inspection tomorrow if they deem it necessary.

Mendip Broadwalk play in the first division of the Jewson League and are lying 11th, having won nine, drawn five and lost eight of their 22 league matches.

Wellington were due to play at home to Welton Rovers in the Premier Division of the Jewson League last weekend but the game was called off because of the atrocious weather.
