WELLINGTON Association Football Club is looking to recruit players to form a second Under 12 team next season.
A club spokesman said: "This has come about from the high demand of parents and their sons and daughters wishing to play football at this age group.
"We only have one team in this age group and demand for places has far exceeded the maximum allowed for one team.
"We have two volunteers who have agreed to coach the team and need to find a few more players to field a team."
Formed in 1892, Wellington AFC is proud to be a three-star FA Accredited Club and runs more than 30 teams, providing football for hundreds and men, women, boys and girls.
The club have five senior sides – the first team play in the Jewson League’s Premier Division, the Reserves in the Devon and Exeter League’s Division One, the A team in the Taunton Saturday League’s Division One and the Ladies have two teams in the Somerset County Women’s League.
The club run 30 teams in its youth and mini sections, with both boys and girls playing from the age of eight right through to 18 – along with coaching for even younger children – and also have a thriving disability section.
