WELLINGTON continue their run of tough home games when they play Buckland Athletic in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League on Saturday (3.00).
These are difficult times for Wellington boss Clive Jones whose side lost 3-0 at home to second-placed Willand Rovers over the weekend.
“We did not have the right preparation for this game,” he said. “I had two players suspended, two injured, Kai Fisher had gone back to Barnstaple and goalkeeper Connor Sidley-Adams decided he didn’t want to play any more.
“Our season will not depend on how we do against the likes of Willand. They are a quality side and they’re quite capable of winning the league.
“On Saturday we play Buckland who are another good side and the following Saturday we’re home to Bradford Town who I rate highly and play the kind of football I like.
“We must try and see if we can get something out of these. If some of the lads want to go on and play at a higher standard of football they have to show what they can do at this level.
“This month is massive for us. We’re another home game coming up against Wells City before we play Bridgwater away on Boxing Day.”
