WELLINGTON AFC Under 10s travelled to Ashcott on a bright and sunny Saturday, eager to showcase their ever-improving footballing skills.

Conditions were decent for a great morning of football, and both teams delivered an exciting spectacle. Ashcott proved to be a physical and determined side, but Wellington rose to the challenge, matching their opponents in strength while letting their quality on the ball shine through.

Right from the first whistle, Wellington displayed slick passing and teamwork, moving the ball around with confidence. Their ability to build attacks through intelligent movement and crisp passing was a joy to watch. Every player contributed to the performance, demonstrating the togetherness that has made Wellington such a strong team.

The goals flowed with some truly outstanding strikes. Rex Beatty, Rowan Gibbons, and Jack Jorge all scored sensational goals leaving supporters in awe. Their creativity in front of goal, coupled with their composure, showed why Wellington have been such a potent attacking force. Across the four matches played, Wellington won two, drew one, and lost one—a fantastic return against decent opposition.

The team netted an impressive 17 goals while conceding only four, underlining both their attacking prowess and defensive resiience. Jack Jorge led the scoring with a remarkable seven goals, while Rex Beatty was close behind with five. Rowan Gibbons also had a strong attacking display, scoring three times. Louis Molloy and Fraser May each found the back of the net as well.

A huge thank-you goes kit sponsor, Roadchef, and jacket sponsor, R&M Motors. Parents once again played a vital role, providing encouragement and positive energy from the sidelines. Their support is invaluable, and it was fantastic to see such a good turnout. Well done to all the players for their hard work, skill, and sportsmanship. Another great performance that highlights the talent and team spirit within this group.
