WELLINGTON will field a near full-strength side for their first qualifying round tie in the Buildbase FA Vase against Saltash United at Cullompton on Saturday (3.00).
The only player missing is Kai Fisher who is facing an FA charge of bringing the game into disrepute.
Wellington have yet to pick up a point in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League and have been knocked out of the FA Cup by Bridport.
"Just because we haven’t won a game yet doesn’t mean I’m not looking forward to the match against Saltash," said Wellington boss Clive Jones.
"We’ve already played some good sides this season. And I told the players after our 5-0 defeat away to Plymouth Parkway last week that they shouldn’t beat themselves up over this loss.
"Parkway are the best side I’ve seen in the Toolstation League for years. They want to get into the Southern League as soon as possible and I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t do it this season. They were very, very impressive.
""I think we’re in a better place than we were at this stage last season. Some of the younger players have matured.
"We must treat this season as a challenge and enjoy it. I want us to continue playing attractive football and for supporters to come and watch us when we play our first home game next week. We’re in a good league with some good sides."
"I have no magic wand. I am not panicking. We just have to go out there and cut out the mistakes."
Wellington’s first home game of the season at the Playing Field is against Shepton Mallet on Saturday, September 8.
Saltash play in the Premier Division of the Carlsberg South West Peninsula and are the only side with maximum points from three games.
