ON A beautiful sunny day, Wellington AFC Under 9s made their annual trip to the Bishops Lydeard Tournament. The players were mixed into different teams, but this didnot stop them from showcasing their skills and incredible sportsmanship.

The organisers were thoroughly impressed, reaching out to the club to commend the boys on being a true credit to the sport. Throughout the afternoon, the Wellington lads played with boundless positivity and unwavering respect, making their club proud.

Wellington's highest finish was second and the individual performances were truly outstanding. Jack Jorge netted an impressive nine goals. Not far behind were Louis Molloy with five goals, Fraser May with four, and a trio of players - Rex Beatty, Riley Lloyd, and Harrison Thompson - each scoring three ors two.

Jude Norman and Rowan Gibbons also got in on the action, contributing to the team's impressive goal tally. A big shoutout goes to the team's sponsors, Roadchef, for their continued support.

Overall, it was a fantastic day of football, with the Wellington boys demonstrating their talent, teamwork, and exemplary conduct. The club can be extremely proud of their young players and their performance at the Bishops Lydeard Tournament.
