WELLINGTON stormed into the third round of the 20-overs a side Baker Cup cricket competition with a 123-run away win over North Curry on Monday.
Wellington’s star batter was Alex Sparks who hammered 97 off 46 balls, hitting nine fours and six sixes.
Wellington piled up 202-5 in their allotted overs, with skipper Alex Campbell scoring 26 and George Ruell 23.
Facing such a huge target, Curry were bowled out for 79 in 13 overs with R Baverstock top scoring with 25. Sachindu Colombage took 6-19 in four overs, while Campbell took 2-7 and Nathan Yarde 2-6.
