OAKE Manor Golf Club held a “Friends and Family Foursomes” competition on Saturday.
Charles Hardman and Martin Thorne were clear winners with 41 points. Will Bingham and Antony Keitch came second with 39 points while Mike Cottrell and Christopher Dubery were third also with 39 points.
Karen Potter won the ladies Sunday Stableford competition with 39 points, Ros Wills was second with 38 points while Mary Beakes came third with 35 points.
In the men’s Sunday Stableford competition, the first five players in division 1 all scored 38 points but on count back Benjamin Slade came first, Michael Bright was second and Shaun Rigby was third.
Jonny Cole won division 2 with an incredible score of 47 points, Chris Pratt was second with 40 points while Peter Bailey came third with 38 points.
The Seniors Section played a Yellow Ball Bowmaker Competition on Monday with two scores from three to count and who ever had the yellow ball scored double points. The winning team of Michael Bright, Terry Burrow and Christopher Mann scored an amazing 127 points, 18 points ahead of second placed Mike Amos, Ian Hockey and Terry Brown with 109 points while third were John Phripp, Peter Brighton and Alex Anthill with 104 points.
