NEW team The Ninchers tried once again to make an impact in the Weekend Triples League at Wellington Bowling Club.

Unfortunately, they weren't able to win this time against a powerful Southsiders team.

Ray White, Alan Dent and skip Vera White's Ninchers were only two shots behind at the halfway stage but Jane Hayes, Tony Woollard and skip Ian Hollingsworth's Southsiders bowled well to collect a five in the seventh and another five in the last for an 18 – 5 victory.

Congratulations go to Southsiders but Ninchers are determined to fight another day. They will return!
