WELLINGTON Bowling Club’s Pumas were involved in a tough game at home with Culm Vale.

Allan Samuel, Geoff Stamp and skip Bill Warnett did everything they could but the visiting Culm Vale trio were just too good on the day, winning comfortably 33-16.

Peter White, Ken Brown and skip Arthur Carter had a close encounter but they came up trumps in the end, winning by two shots 15-13.

However, it was not enough to turn the game in Wellington’s favour and Culm Vale went home with a comfortable overall victory, by 48 shots to 29.
