TWO youths arrested in connection with a stabbing in Wellington on Monday, May 29, remain on bail.

Police are in possession of a video of the incident.

Police arrested a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, before releasing both of the youths on bail.

Shortly afterwards a video apparently taken by other youths emerged which appears to show the incident.

In the video a group of youths are seen as a Wellington man in his 30s is attacked with a knife.

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed to the Wellington Weekly News that officers involved in the case have viewed the video.

Police posted a statement on social media appealing for members of the public not to share the footage, and renewed their appeal for witnesses: "We're aware of a video circulating on social media showing an assault which took place in the early hours of Monday 29 May in Wellington.Two people have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

"If you have footage of the incident, or witnessed it, please call 101 and quote reference 5223125056, or report it on our website. We'd please ask people not to share the video for the benefit of the victim and because it could impact on any future legal proceedings"

The attack, which took place on Roly Poly Green, just off Alexandra Road, resulted in a male victim being conveyed to Musgrove Park Hospital for treatment, though police said his injuries were not life changing. The man has since been released from hospital.
