SIX-YEAR-OLD Savannah Barsby, of Pear Tree Way, Wellington, is raising money during the school holidays for children less fortunate than herself.

Savannah has opened a nail salon for the school holidays with all donations going to South West Children’s Hospice. Her little business has really taken off and although she only charges 20p a hand she has made almost £50, thanks to extra donations and gifts.

Mum and dad Siobhan and Ryan Barsby have said they will match all donations and it will be handed to the charity at the end of the school holidays.

Siobhan said: “We are immensely proud of Savannah and her generous nature. It’s great to see youngsters wanting to help others in need.”

Savannah and her ‘salon’ can be found on the corner of Pear Tree Way most days until the end of August or message Siobhan on Facebook.

After this date she will still take donations and be available for painting but only at weekends or after school. Anyone who wants to donate can do so via PayPal using the friends and family option to [email protected]
