Subway in Wellington is offering customers free food as a reopening day offer.
The Wellington branch of Subway had been closed for around a couple of months as it underwent renovation.
The exact date of the store's return to business remained unclear - with a banner pledging a reopening date 'in May'.
However, Subway reopened on Monday, May 22, bringing to an end speculation over the renovation works.
To mark its reopening, Subway Wellington are offering free sandwiches to customers, in addition to a separate 'store re-opening deal.'
The time limited deal is set to expire on June 19, until which time customer can claim a free drink or side with any 6 inch Subway sandwich from the shop.
The renovated Subway store was seen neighbouring the new Miss Millie's Fried Chicken, which is set to become the second fast-food concession at Budgins.
Miss Millie's grand opening is slated for Thursday, May 25, however it was preparing for a 'soft opening' on Monday.
At around mid-day staff were battling against cash register issues, in the hopes of getting the store up and running for a limited opening to identify any teething issues. Staff hoped the fried chicken restaurant would be serving customers by around 1pm on Monday.
When the store officially opens on Thursday, its first 50 customers will receive a free burger, with one lucky customer winning a free burger, each week, for a year.
