The Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir are set to put on a concert at the Wellington Methodist Church for charity next month.
The concert will be supporting the Best Before Food Store in Rockwell Green. The Food Store is a community project developed in partnership with Somerset West and Taunton Local Pantry Schemes.
It will also support Christian group BESOM - a Taunton charity that provides support to those in need. The charity provides food boxes, household items, furniture and white goods and more.
The choir was formed in 1974. Its membership is almost entirely made up of serving and retired police officers, support staff and special constabulary.
The choir aims to continue the tradition of choral singing in a 'pleasant and social environment'. They say they do this under the leadership of their musical director Marysia Gorska-Saj and accompanists Clair Hiles and Sheila Rice.
The police choir will be performing at the Wellington Methodist Church on Waterloo Road on Saturday March 18 at 7 30 pm. Tickets are available from the Blue Pantry on Fore Street, and Odette's Tearoom on the High Street. Tickets are on sale for £10 each, for cash only.
