CONCERNS about littering were given to members of Wellington Town Council’s environment committee.

Chris Penney, speaking in public comment time on May 22, said: “The football pitch was looking like a bombsite with litter everywhere.

“And I’m not sure whether the rubbish bins in Wellington Park are not big enough or they are not emptied enough – but they were overflowing.”
