Firefighters have been called out to a second rescue as a motorist became stranded in floodwater near Wellington on on Saturday.
The crew was sent to the incident at Nynehead, near Wellington, where the minor roads have been flooded regularly in recent days.
There were widespread reports on Saturday morning of flooded roads in the area, as the River Tone was running high after a night of heavy rain.
Pictures from the incident posted by Wellington Fire Station show two crew members in water rescue gear wading down a flooded road towards a car.
The car is standing in water up to the top of its wheel arches, after apparently driving past a flood gauge at the side of the road.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Second shout of the day to assist a driver in flood water in Nynehead."
Earlier in the day, the crew was called out after a van became stranded in flood water on the A38, near Wellington.
The driver was helped to safety from the vehicle and firefighters helped direct traffic until a highways team arrived to take over.
