Wellington fire fighters have joined a battle to contain a raging blaze which has taken hold of a large hay barn.
The barn, located in Stawley, contains 200 tonnes of hay, machinery - and liquid nitrogen, which has been spotted near to the fire.
The fire fighters joined crews from nine other stations in a joint effort to beat the flames, with six fire engines in attendance as of the early afternoon.
Efforts are ongoing to cool a tank containing 1500 litres of liquid nitrogen, and to put out the blaze, with an air foam and hose reel jet systems being deployed to get the job done.
Local crews joined fire fighters from Bampton, Crediton, Cullompton, Honiton, Tiverton, Clyst St George, Taunton, Bridgwater and Martock as part of a massive effort to defeat the flames.
