The Wellington Spring Fayre is encouraging attendees to wear red and blue this year to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.
The annual event at Wellington Park is taking place on Sunday May 7, the day after the coronation.
It is set to feature over 50 independent stallholders, a range of entertainments including magicians and a fire-breather, as well as a hog roast and a licensed bar.
The event is organised by The Friends of Wellington Park. Committee member Sandra Nunn said: "We have lots of stalls, we’ve got at least 50 stalls plus a barbecue, hog roast, ice cream van, hot drinks and cream teas.
"The council are helping this year by putting on a tightrope walker, fire juggler and a circus tent, it’s all going to be a bit special.
"We do an annual Spring fayre but this one is going to be special because it’s the coronation weekend. The Spring fayre can get well in excess of a thousand people in attendance.
"Wear red and white and blue as much as you can, we’ll have bunting up and flags up. We’ve got Wellington School Children’s choir, Beech Grove Children’s Primary School choir coming, we’ve got two magic shows and a magician is going to do an hours walk about.
"Reminiscence Learning are bringing their choir to sing, and another group of singers called Eight to the Bar, that’ll be the entertainment going on the bandstand, and then at least 50 stalls and more applications coming in.
"The public are welcome to bring picnics and we have the Beambridge supplying a hog roast and a licensed bar with Odettes doing cream teas. We have Neil’s Coffee Stop and an Ice Cream van from near Bridgwater.
"We’ve got three cake stalls coming, one is gluten free, so there should be something for everybody. It should be a lovely family day, even last year when it was wet and freeing cold it still went well."
