Jurassic Fibre is warning that Wellington High Street will be shut on the night of Tuesday February 28 as works are carried out to install ultra fast fibre optic broadband.
The works will be carried out by Jurassic Fibre, a broadband provider operating across the South West. A Jurassic Fibre worker was seen delivering letters in the High Street to businesses on Monday morning containing details of the planned works.
The firm say the High Street will be closed for safety reasons between the hours of 6 30pm and 11pm, to carry out "some essential construction work."
The company has warned that completion of the works will generate 'a degree of noise.' In a statement issued to residents they said: "To complete this work we will need to use power tools, which will generate a degree of noise."
"We understand this may disrupt the daily routine for you and other members of your household, and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for this."
Pedestrian access to property will remain in place at all times. Pavement, carriageway and verges will be reinstated as the work progresses.
The letter says enquiries about the planned works can be directed to the Jurassic Fibre Team who can be reached at 01392 345 600.
