Police have confirmed that two individuals arrested after a man in his 30s was stabbed in Wellington on Monday are teenagers.
Two males were arrested in connection with the stabbing at Roly Poly Green, were aged 14 and 15 years old.
The 14-year-old was arrested in Wellington, while the other boy was arrested in Taunton. Both arrests were made on the day of the incident.
Neither of the youths has been charged with any crime. Both have been released on bail, while police inquiries remain ongoing.
The Bank Holiday attack took place just 400 yards from Wellington Police Station, and resulted in a victim being conveyed to Musgrove Park Hospital by the ambulance service.
A police cordon had been in place for most of Monday, but had been taken down by Tuesday morning when local residents were seen walking across the green.
Police said the victim's injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing, and described the incident as 'isolated.'
