TWO people were understood to have been taken to hospital after a car overturned on the M5 near Wellington on Wednesday morning.

The incident which took place near junction 26 is believed to have resulted only in “minor injuries.”

The road was closed in the morning while the vehicle was removed, and was reopened in the early afternoon.

The incident resulted in an extensive tailbacks, with vehicles seen queueing for miles as emergency services attended to the scene.
