A MAN was found dead near Wellington on Wednesday morning, October 18.
Police and ambulance workers raced to an address in Heatherton Park Road, near the World's End Pub, at around 9.30 am.
At least two police cars and three ambulance vehicles were deployed to the property, with one eyewitness describing officers 'shooting' down the A38 at speed.
A man was declared dead at the scene, in what police said were 'non-suspicious' circumstances. The man's next of kin have been informed. Officers are now carrying out inquiries on behalf of the coroner.
Two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer and two police cars remained at the scene until around 11.30 am.
Confirming the incident, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police told the Wellington Weekly: "We were called at 9.35 am to an address in Heatherton Park Road, near West Buckland, this morning (Wednesday October 18) .
"Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a man was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their next of kin has been informed.
"The death is being treated as non-suspicious. We will prepare a file and carry out enquiries on behalf of the coroner."
