Tim Potter's family butchers have celebrated success after being crowned 'the best in England.'

The fresh accolade comes hot on the heels of the Fore Street business claiming the title of 'best in the South West' in the Taste of the West awards.

Tim Potter's team were celebrating on Sunday night, after picking up the award at the contest's grand final in Birmingham.

They expressed thanks to their staff and customers for making the win possible. In a social media post they said: "Pam, Chris and Hayley represented the crew up in Birmingham and were pitted against seven other regional winners for the national title. We faced stiff competition from across the country but are now proud to announce that we placed at the very top.

"A huge thank you to everyone that voted for us, we literally could not have done it without you. We really appreciate people voting, sharing, commenting and liking our content, these actions really go a long way in supporting our business so thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, we are thrilled to receive this award amid a groundswell of local support.
