The chairman of Wellington Medical Centre patient participation group is thanking local people for their support of the surgery.

Erica Adams says acts of great kindness and generosity during the coronavirus crisis will never be forgotten.

She added: “Lydia Daniel Baker, manager of the medical centre, says that despite the pressures they are stoically managing, and they are overwhelmed with offers of practical help from throughout the community which are gratefully received.

“As chairman of the patient participation group, I would like to thank all these generous-hearted people – from individuals, to groups, to businesses – for their support which is giving medical centre staff a much happier life, despite everything.

“Thank you again to those of you from Wellington and surrounding area for your support – you are fantastic. We are all so grateful.”
