A STABBING which happened in Wellington in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday (May 29) was filmed by youths on a mobile phone.
The Wellington Weekly has learned that the incident involved several young teenagers, some of whom were girls.
At least one of the group recorded the attack on a man in his 30s with the video being shared with others around Wellington.
The harrowing footage taken at Roly Poly Green appears to show an assailant striking at the victim, while one female onlooker pleads with him to stop.
The video is being circulated on private social media channels by members of the group.
Avon and Somerset Police arrested two teenagers on Monday, aged 14 and 15 years.
The 14-year-old was arrested in Wellington, while the other boy was arrested in Taunton.
Both youths have since been released on bail and police investigations remain ongoing. No charges have yet been brought.
The Wellington Weekly is not publishing the names of those involved, which can be heard on the video.
The attack took place around 400 yards from Wellington Police Station, at around 2 am on Monday.
Police said the victim’s injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
The attack is believed to have taken place by a picnic table on Roly Poly Green next to Alexandra Road.
