Wellington's Old Brick Workshop is hosting art classes for adults this Summer, with local artist Claire Western leading the sessions.
Places are said to be filling fast on the courses, which are set to run from April until June and will cover a variety of techniques and disciplines.
Claire's drawing course kicks off on Tuesday, April 25, and comprises four three hour sessions. The course is billed as being suitable for all, from beginners through to more experienced artists.
Claire will also be leading paintwork classes, as part of a two day course. The printworking session will see students use a wide range of materials and tools as they explore a number of techniques including monoprinting.
The Old Brick Workshop is also hosting a number of exhibits and talks in its gallery space this Summer. From April 22, Rhythms of Nature will exhibit the work of Joanna Commings, Keith Crocker, Georgia Morley and Bev Perdue, who each showcase a seascape painted with different techniques.
The exhibit will be open daily, from 10am until 4pm. A preview event will be held on April 21, where the gallery will be open from 6pm to 8pm.
