Swap your clothes with a stranger to raise money for charity next month.
A 'clothes swap' is to be held at Burlescombe Village Hall on March 12 to raise money for the community hall fund.
Organisers describe the event as a "Fun and social way of refreshing your wardrobe while saving you cash and saving unloved clothes from landfill."
Also known as "swishing", clothes swapping involves bringing along your old clothes, and trading them for somebody else's.
The Sunday swishing will kick off at 1.30pm as attendees drop off their disused clothes. From 3pm there will be cake and coffee served in a pop up cafe as volunteers sort the discarded garments. Then the swapping will commence from 4pm.
The event is being put on by Alice Bevan and Emily Pearson. Alice told the Wellington Weekly: "With a clothes swap there's nothing to lose. You can refresh your wardrobe for a couple of quid. It's a bit of fun."
Any items leftover at the end of the clothes swap will be donated to Burlescombe school.
The organisers suggest a minimum donation of £1 for entry plus £3 for evert bag of clothing taken away.
