A BUS service from Wellington via Hemyock to Seaton, in Devon, will be taken over by another operator in the New Year.

The Dartline no 20 bus will be run on behalf of Devon County Council by Stagecoach, the UK’s largest transport operator.

Stagecoach already has a presence in Wellington with its Plymouth to Bristol Airport hourly service which stops at the Cades roundabout on the edge of the town.

Now, from Sunday, January 5, 2025, the Dartline contract for the Taunton to Seaton service will be taken over.

It will continue to provide five journeys in each direction daily, including for students attending Richard Huish College, in Taunton, and for commuters.

However, some bus departure times will be amended by Stagecoach.

It is part of a timetable shake up by the county council which will also see Stagecoach take on two other routes in Devon for the authority.
