Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm September 10 to 6am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to junction 25 carriageway closure for Resurfacing, diversion via A38, A358 Toneway to junction 25.

M5, from 8pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to junction 26 - lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
