People in parts of Somerset awoke to snow on Wednesday morning, while others found a heavy frost after a night of sub-zero temperatures.
Fresh snow was reported to be falling over Wiveliscombe this morning, and pictured settling in some parts of the town.
A layer of snow was pictured settled across the roads in Chipstable, which was joined by fresh snowfall from 9 20am.
There was reportedly no snow which had settled overnight in Wellington or Taunton, though Wellington suffered from heavy frost this morning as residents awoke to icy conditions.
Surrounding areas were said to be worse hit, with the roads around Nynehead appearing icy after the remaining flood waters froze over.
Looking ahead, the Met Office has forecast sunny spells and light rain across much of Wellington and West Somerset today, and cold weather overnight.
In Dulverton rain is expected until 11am by which time the sun should break through. Sub-zero temperatures are to resume overnight with a 50% chance of light snow in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The forecaster expects rainfall in Wellington until midday today. Temperatures are set to reach a peak of 4 degrees C before falling to an overnight low of zero C. No snow is forecast.
Temperatures are predicted to be warmer in Minehead today, with a peak of 5C expected from 2pm to 4pm. There are to be sunny spells broken up by heavy showers, and milder conditions overnight - with temperatures set to reach a low of 3C
