Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP) are hosting a second kit swap after popular demand for the event.
The October In It Together Kit - Swap will be held on the 25th October outside the SASP offices in Chelston Business park from 12am - 1pm.
A spokesperson for SASP said : “This is an opportunity to swap out any old active wear or sport equipment you might have for someone else’s.
“Perhaps you have some leggings that no longer fit, but need a different size? Maybe you’ve decided to give tennis a try and need a new racket? Or, you just have some old kit you no longer wear and would like to donate it.”
The campaign is aimed at reducing the environmental impact that sports equipment production has on the planet and provide an effective way to encourage people into physical activity. The event is also free and helps with the cost barrier that inhibits some people from taking up new sports.
There are some rules to donating to the kit swap which are :
Any donations should be directed to SASP, 1st Floor Offices, Castle Business Centre, Castle Road, Chelston Business Park, Wellington, Somerset, TA21. Weekdays between 9:00am & 12:00 pm (Until Friday 21st October)

The Kit Swap can accept:
Sports Bras
Leggings
Sports shorts or skirts
Trainers
Active wear tops and t-shirts
Active coats and jumpers
Wrist bands
Reflective active wear
Hockey sticks, tennis/badminton rackets etc.
Roller Skates
Any protective padding such as knee and arm pads
Head torches
Running/phone belts
The Kit Swap cant accept:
Children’s clothing or footwear
Underwear
Swimming costumes
No bikes or bike helmets
Daily clothing such as coats, jeans, socks, tops, dresses etc
Children’s sport equipment
Please do not donate any sports water bottle or towels
