Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A30, from midnight, January 2 to 5am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25, lane closures for patching.

• M5, from 8pm March 6 to 6am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27, lane closures for patching.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
