Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 10am to 2pm on December 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 exit slip, lane closure for horticultural works.

M5, from 10am to 3pm on December 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to junction 25, lane closure for carriageway repair.

M5, from 8pm December 3 to 6am December 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25, lane closure for patching.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
