LOCAL dementia charity Reminiscence Learning is hosting a ‘Dance for Dementia’ event as part of next month’s Dementia Action Week.
It will be hosting an online Zoom video session for businesses to join a ‘Jazzercise’ club in support of dementia, as movement can help with memory impairment and cognation.
The award-winning charity, based in Wellington, specialises in dementia care.
Founded by Fiona Mahoney in 2003 as a dementia training provider, the charity has grown into providing services for businesses, people living with dementia, carers, and schools.
The charity is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and is aiming to raise £20,000 during the 12 months to mark the milestone.
Anybody interested in signing up for the event can email [email protected], with the link being sent out for the event on the morning of May 17. The suggested donation to join event is £1.
