Snow has covered parts of Somerset on Wednesday morning and caused school closures and travel disruption, with more forecast during the day.

There are reports that the A39 is closed at Nether Stowey in the Quantock Hills, with slow traffic on the section towards Holford.

Bus services have been disrupted in the area, and the Taunton park and ride was not running at the start of the day.

A number of schools have been fully or partly closed due to the weather, see the full list from Somerset County Council here.

The snow has been particularly heavy on higher ground, including Exmoor and the Quantock Hills.
