Mounted police turned heads on Tuesday morning as they patrolled through Wellington.
Two Avon and Somerset Police officers drew the attention of the public as they rode down the High Street and into Lancer Court.
The mounted section have made a number of visits to Wellington in recent months, carrying out high visibility patrols of the town. Today, officers braved the wet weather to make at least two trots around the block.
The officers and their steeds have proved a popular sight among residents. In August families took turns to be photographed with the mounted police when they attended a 'Whacky Wednesday' event in the park.
The mounted unit performs a number of functions, including riot control, of which there was no sign on Tuesday morning.
