POLICE have said the death of a Wellington woman after an 'incident' in Aspin Road is 'not suspicious.'
The woman died in hospital on Saturday, October 7, after being conveyed to Musgrove Park Hospital from an Aspin Road address on Monday, September 25.
Police had attended the address on the day of the incident due to what they said was the 'suggestion of an earlier domestic incident'.
A man in his 40s was subsequently arrested before being questioned under caution and released on bail.
However officers have now said that following a forensic post mortem examination the woman's death "is not deemed suspicious" and that "no further action" will be taken against the man previously arrested.
Police are now preparing a report for the coroner. In a statement a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A forensic post mortem examination has been carried out and the woman’s death is not deemed suspicious.
"No further action will be taken against the man previously arrested.
"Officers will now prepare a report for the coroner."
