POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a driver left the scene of a collision near Wellington.

The incident happened on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, at the roundabout with Egremont Road.

Two vans were travelling around the roundabout when they collided - and one of the vehicles left the scene.

The collision, which took place at around 1.50 pm on Sunday August 20, did not result in any serious injuries.

Police said that the driver who left the scene has since been identified, and is operating with their inquiries. However officers have now asked the public to aid in their investigation.
