Permission is being sought for the construction of an industrial unit which will store, maintain and distribute portable toilets.
The proposal has been submitted on behalf of A1 Loo Hire LTD, a national firm which hires out portable toilets.
A1 Loo Hire is looking to erect a new facility at the Westpark in Chelston, Wellington.
The unit would be built on a 0.37 hectare site which is located behind machine hire firm, Speedy Powered Access.
The proposed building would be a single story unit with a floor space of 304 square metres, accompanied by eight car parking spaces to adjoin the facility.
In a statement submitted to planners, McConnel Planning said the grey metal clad warehouse would be built so as to "assimilate appropriately within the landscape."
If completed the scheme is expected to create six jobs, comprising an office worker, yard person and four drivers.
A preliminary ecology appraisal has recommended that a reptile refuge should be constructed, and ten bird boxes installed to offset the site's environmental impact.
The plans will now go before Wellington Town Council where Cllr's will decide whether to support the plans.
The Westpark site was built in 2007 for use as a business and light industry employment site.
However it has since changed to a mixed use development, as local authorities awarded permissions for a series of retail, food, and leisure outlets to begin trading at the estate.
Among the businesses which have already been approved are McDonald's, Costa, Subway, Budgens convenience store, two gyms, a Shell petrol station, and the medium-secure mental health Wellesley Hospital.
