PEOPLE are being encouraged to make a visit to Wellington Museum before the summer holidays are over.
The museum in Fore Street is open weekdays from 10am to 4pm and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
A spokesman for Wellington Town Council said: "There is a huge amount of information about Wellington in the museum as well as some great interactive pieces for children such as a typewriter and an embossing press."
Wellington Museum is completely free and is run by a dedicated and knowledgeable team of volunteers from the Wellington Local History and Museum Society which is a registered charity.
More than 2,500 visitors were welcomed to the museum last year and it is hoped that figure will be topped in 2024.
The museum can be found at 28 Fore Street in the former Squirrel Hotel and more information can be obtained from its website at www.wellingtonmuseum.org.uk or emailing [email protected].
