DOZENS of new business units which will bring hundreds of new jobs to Wellington have gone on the market for purchase on long leases.
Burrington Business Parks, of Exeter, is building 56 industrial/commercial units on a 5.2-acre plot at Westpark 26, Chelston.
The high-quality bespoke properties will provide a total of more than 56,000 sq ft of employment floorspace.
Commercial specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt (GTH), which is marketing the units, said it was a ‘unique opportunity’ for businesses and investors to purchase commercial property on an established business park close to the M5 motorway.
The first phase of the new site will be ready by February to March next year and the units are now available to buy on a 999-year lease.
GTH said each unit would be built to ‘exacting standards’ and offer flexible, energy efficient commercial accommodation suitable for a range of business uses.
The units will vary in size from 1,000 sq ft to 11,000 sq ft and are available in a range of options – shell and core, half mezzanine, and full mezzanine.
A GTH spokesman said layouts could be tailored to individual requirements, and thermal efficiency and fire safety were designed into the build.
Electric vehicle charging point fittings would be provided and the site has fibre broadband.
The business park is strategically placed with excellent transport links via the A38 and M5.
The Westpark estate already has a wide mix of businesses from storage and distribution through trade counters and retail to motorcycle sales and repairs.
It houses a range of national operators, including Costa Coffee, Shell, Toolstation, Howdens, Travelodge, and McDonalds.
