Community Group The Local Folk have announced a new Waste Free Living Market starting this weekend (1st October) at Tonedale Mill from 10am - 3pm.

The market is designed to promote local makers, suppliers and services of goods that enable people to live a more waste free life and eco friendly life.

There will be live music, a number of stalls to come and visit and food and drink from Braziers Coffee Roasters to purchase.

Organisers are hoping it will become a space for the community to come together and share information and skills that are good for us, our homes and the environment.

A spokesperson for The Local Folk said: “We believe now more than ever it is so important to buy, use, make & reuse sustainable, environmentally friendly products where possible. With a products carbon footprint also in question we wanted to show that a lot of these products & services are available to us via local small businesses instead of big high street chains.”

There will be a mix of makers & services within the following categories: Home and Lifestyle, Health and Beauty, Sustainable Clothing, Food and Household, and local sustainable businesses giving talks & demonstrations.
