WELLINGTON Business Association has updated and re-printed a beautiful map of the town centre and guide to its traders drawn by local artist Lois Musson.
“The original map was a beautiful piece of work but so many businesses had re-located or new ones moved into Wellington, that it was seriously out of date,” said WBA chairman Keith Wheatley.
“Who would have predicted that the Salvation Army chapel would become a children’s nursery or the Old Town Hall turn into a Wetherspoon’s pub – but both are on the new map.”
Hundreds of copies of the new guide were handed out to Food Festival visitors last weekend and it will be available free in many Wellington shops and businesses from next weekend.
“The WBA would like to thank the Economic Development Unit at Taunton Deane Borough Council and our co-sponsors The Emporium Somerset and The Big House Co for making the new edition of the guide financially possible,” added Mr Wheatley.
“And not least our artist Lois who has once more created a beautiful representation of our very special town.”
