A MYSTERY woman, known only as ‘Miss D’ from Somerset, plans to celebrate winning £1 million on The National Lottery with a holiday in Greece.
She matched five main numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw of Saturday, July 6.
The Somerset local, who played a Lucky Dip via the National Lottery website, has become one of more than eight million players who win each week on the lottery’s range of games.
Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous, or, as in this instance, release some details through partial publicity.
National Lottery senior winners’ advisor Andy Carter said: “A huge congratulations to Miss D, who has banked a million pounds and can celebrate in style on an amazing holiday in Greece.”
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at www.national-lottery.co.uk.
They can also buy and check tickets in retail outlets.
Playing online via the app or website means tickets are checked, and players receive an email notification if they win a prize.
Retail tickets can also be scanned on the National Lottery app to check if they are a winner.
Game players generate £30 million each week for National Lottery-funded projects across the nation, with more than 690,000 grants having been given to date to support projects large and small across the UK.
