SEVEN hundred years of Somerset history in maps and charts will be explored in Wellington next week by author and lecturer Dr Adrian Webb.
Dr Webb worked, who in Taunton’s Hydrographic Office from 1988 to 2023, is guest speaker for Wellington Local History and Museum Society.
He has written and lectured on many subjects, including Somerset maritime history and The Admiralty’s Hydrographic Department in World War Two.

Society spokesman Mike Menhenitt said: “The society looks forward to welcoming you for what promises to be a fascinating insight into the history of Somerset maps going back some 700 years.”
