A motorist was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car collided with parked vehicles near Wellington town centre.
Part of Mantle Street was reported to have been closed while police dealt with the incident on Sunday night.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said on Monday: “We were called to Mantle Street in Wellington shortly before 9pm last night (Sunday 19 February) after a car was reported to have collided with a number of parked vehicles.
“A 33-year-old man was arrested and has since been charged with drink-driving. He has been released on conditional bail and is due before magistrates in Taunton on Monday 13 March.”
