A NEW ‘Rest Fest’ restaurant festival is being launched in Wiveliscombe to give residents and visitors an opportunity to celebrate the best of the town’s food and drink.
Wiveliscombe’s finest eateries will join forces for a summer night of gastronomy hosted by MasterChef critic William Sitwell on August 2.
Guests will take part in a food safari across the town, eating a large variety of dishes and enjoying unlimited rosé, white, and red wine.
Dishes will range from sizzling prawns with sofrito at Zekki, to mini-fish cakes in the White Hart, paella at The Bear, and pavlovas from Phoenix Kitchen.
Mr Sitwell said: “Wiveliscombe has some seriously good places to eat and at our first ever ‘Rest Fest’ guests will have the opportunity to dine at them all in one night.”
There are only a limited number of tickets available for the festival, costing £80 per person, and more information is available online here.
